Note: - Dr. Madhu Krishan, Ph.D;DD;FICA is the son of the Soil of Andaman & Nicobar Islands (but his Grand father was a freedom fighter from Tamil Nadu, Trinelveli District and was convicted in Andaman & Nicobar Jail by The British Government during 1909) He was born in Diglipur Island North Andaman, on 11-01-1962.

A- In recognisation of Commendable Social Works Dr. Madhu Krishan was honoured by the different National and International Awards and Gold Medals such as:

B- Dr. Madhu Krishan also got his 2nd Ph.D for his research work  on the topic “the after affect of Tsunami disaster on Island & on Islanders – Overcoming Scientifically & with Holistic perspective” from IICM an International Institution from USA. Earlier during 1998, he got his 1st Ph.D;DD;FICA .
Remarkable contribution During Tsunami Disaster

C-Dr. Madhu Krishan as founder chairman of one local NGO namely  Snahalaya Ashram (Reg. No. 895) & one of its unit Islander’s Sangathan Manch (Reg. No. 1208) adopted 5000 Tsunami Victims families & provided every relief, there after as lead NGO, constructed 650 intermediate shelters & Co-ordinate with other NGOS & Govt. for the construction of 10,000 intermediate shelters

D- He was the first person constructed & handed over Permanent houses 500 Nos for Tsunami & another 2000 permanent house shall be shortly ready.

E- In reorganization of his good work during the Tsunami, he was the only one person (among more than 250 NGO) for getting the Lt. Governor’s commendation Certificate award.

F- Earlier the name of Dr. Madhu Krishan was also nominated by A & N Administration for the National Awards of
              (a)      Durga Bai Deshmukh Award
              (b)       Swami Vivekananda Award in recognition of is social work
